Steve Adams of 316 Design saw a need for a content mangement sytem customized for the Off-Road & Automotive After-market, Off-Road Racing, Enthusiasts, Extreme Sports, and Action Sports industries. We approached a development company to create FUEL 360. The existing 'off the shelf' products and third party applications reached a point of diminishing returns. This graphic & web designer, and the development company decided to build a system that tackled the challenges we faced.

FUEL 360

316 Design provides a customizable, web-based Content Management System (CMS). We build our Content Management Systems around each client's unique needs. This means that you will have all the features that your organization needs, without any dead functionality from an out-of-the-box approach. Our customized CMS also means that you don't have to learn how your business fits into a one size fits all solution. This greatly reduces the complexity and learning curve for your organization.

316 Design has implemented numerous Content Management Systems (CMS) for a variety of clients. This experience means we can bring considerable expertise and insight into the design and development of your CMS. Success means an easy to use, highly effective system that you can use immediately.

Content Management System

A content management system (CMS) is an application used to manage the content of a website. A CMS allows the content manager or author of the website, who may not know HTML (the programming language used for the web), to create, modify, remove, and organize the information and pictures on their website. The CMS features include:

A. Web-Based Content Management System (CMS):

Our system is web-based, which means that clients can have multiple people log in and contribute to the website. Our permission-based login system allows content contributors to add events, articles, and other relevant information. Since our system is web-based, there is no additional commercial software that needs to be installed on a client's computer. The software can also be accessed from any Internet connected computer anywhere in the world; from work, at home, or on the move.

B. Page Creation and Editing:

Administrators will have access to create, edit, and delete pages on the website. The navigation menu can also be edited to reflect these changes.

C. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor:

Our system allows clients to add new content to their site in a visual manner. What users see in their editing environment is what they will get when the content is published. Users have the ability to manipulate the arrangement, size, and look of content with the integrated WYSIWYG editor. It is as simple as using Microsoft Word.

D. Code Editor for Advanced Users:

A code editor is available for advanced users who may want to access the raw html code instead of using the WYSIWYG editor for making changes.

E. Media File Manager:

The media file manager will allow administrators to insert images, pdfs, docs, mp3s, flash, video, and other media into their site.

F. Streaming, Downloadable, and Podcastable Audio:

Administrator can add audio to the website. If they do: 1) The audio is playable in a Flash based player that streams the audio for the listener. 2) The audio is made available for download on the website for users who wish to download the file for later listening. 3) The XML file used by podcasters is automatically updated.

G. Article Manager with RSS Syndication:

A client can write articles (for example: case studies, white papers, product notes) and site visitors can syndicate these articles using RSS feeds.

H. Online Event Creation:

Client can create events that can be published to a visual calendar. Site visitors can RSVP for events using the optional event registration / RSVP module.

I. Google Map Link:

Site visitors will have the ability to view an interactive Google map that outlines the directions and location. Events created with an address location can automatically generate a Google Map link.

J. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

Our CMS is designed to attract online traffic so that the client receives more visitors. Our team has a great depth of experience in how to build sites to accomplish this, and clients have experienced increased visitor rates. Search Engine Optimization focuses on refining the visible and invisible content of a website so that when a search engine analyzes a website, it properly determines the site's theme. Each search engine uses unique algorithms that the public is not privy to. Through experience and research, our websites are designed to achieve high search engine ranking results. Client sites can be optimized for specific keywords and themes to attract targeted visitors to the site. These keywords will target search engine spiders which will result in more visitors finding the website through online searches.

Communication Module

Client can send emails directly from the CMS. Client can easily (and with little technological knowledge) create HTML email campaigns and send them to hundreds (or thousands) of people. These emails can be sent to specific subgroups of customers or to everyone.

* E-mail creation
* HTML e-mail newsletter
* Contact group management/distribution

Event & Registration Management

The event registration / RSVP module enables an event for online registration and manage registrations. This module is perfect for events that do not require payment by the registrant. The events are displayed on the website and can be promoted with the email application.

* Unlimited number of events
* Customized and "available anywhere" reporting
* Fully integrated email newsletter
• Seamless integration with your web site - no programming required

CMS Administration & Reporting

A. Site Traffic Statistics: Clients will have the ability to view how many site visitors they have, where they are coming from, and what they are looking at on the website.

B. Log Reporting: Client will have the ability to view who has logged in, edited, or added content into the system backend.

C. Site Management: The primary administrator is able to change other site information in the backend.

D. Administrators: The site administrator can add and set the permission settings for the other administrators. For example, the site administrator can allow one administrator to update products, and another to update the events. Other sections can be locked down so that each administrator only has access to the section to which they have been granted.

Customer Connector

316 Design recognizes how important it is to provide quality service to customers. Our CMS allows clients to create 'rules' based on how the client would like to communicate with new customers. These rules can include:

* Immediate thank you emails sent through the system.
* Visitors who express interest in a product are sent emails with additional product information or targeted promotional campaigns.
* Additional rules can be easily set up.

Membership Module

The member's module includes a login protected backend for customers or other people that a client provides permission to enter. In this backend environment, the client can provide resources, additional information, allow members to edit contact information or other advanced functionality. Sample uses have been a login environment for dealers, customers, resellers and fans.

Outreach Module

Effective marketing is the cornerstone of any successful website. The outreach module connects a client's website with other websites. The client can feature their products on these sites, and the traffic that is generated by the network is designed to bring additional web visitors to the client's website.

Product Management System

The Product Management System (PMS) is an extension of our Content Management System (CMS). The PMS component allows you to add, edit, and delete products at any time, and then include these products in one or more of the pages in the CMS. This gives you the greatest flexibility for creating content pages, links, file downloads, and products within a uniform site structure. Since the PMS is integrated with the CMS, visitors to your site will be able to browse and search your site's contents and products together.

In addition, the Editing & Publishing Workflow described previously will also apply to changes made to products, so that changes made to product information or prices must be approved by a Site Editor or Section Editor before they will be made public. You may even add products that are only accessible by users with specific roles assigned by an administrator.

Ecommerce

316 Design can configure an E-Commerce system suited to your unique business. We can implement a number of E-Commerce components including: credit card payment processing, inventory management with in the CMS, order tracking and fulfillment, shopping carts, email notification, and the ability to upload and manage the content on your website. The E-Commerce section of our CMS allows you to enter products and capture sales on your website. Easily add and edit products through a customized solution that fills all your needs. Editing your products is as easy as logging into the CMS and saving your changes.

Website & CMS Hosting

316 Design's hosting accounts and network operations are located in a world class Tier 1 data center. From connectivity, power, and HVAC, this center has been engineered to avoid any single point of failure. With uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and emergency backup diesel generators, the electrical distribution system is designed to power our website, even during a blackout. UPS systems prevent power spikes, surges and brownouts while redundant backup diesel generators provide additional fuel to keep the data center powered up in the event that public utility fails. The entire electrical system has built-in redundancy to guarantee continuous operation. The overall system is N+1 redundant, including each component within the parallel electrical systems.

Its that simple, all in one centralized CMS with all your other website content.
